The national team player Yasemin Horasan said: “We want to win all the cups this year. We’re going to be very successful with Galatasaray and we all are going to “Go Crazy”
Galatasaray SC’s new and flash player Yasemin Horasan gave an exclusive interview to Turkey’s one of the most prestigious newspapers “Takvim”
Yasemin spent the last season in Italy at Phard Napoli Basketball Club after ending her successful career at Besiktas JK. She is now ready to give her all for Galatasaray.
I came to a big organization
There were many offers in and outside of Turkey but I decided to sign with Galatasaray because they have big goals for the upcoming years. Everybody can be sure that our goal is going to be to win all the cups in Turkey and the Eurocup as well.
I loved Italy
Going to Italy was a different experience for me after playing for Besiktas for a long time. We played very good game in Euroleague with Napoli. We won the Italian presidential cup. In the Italian league every team can beat eachother. It’s a very very tough league. Before I left to go to Italy some people warned me about the mafia and thieves in Napoli. But when I got there I realized that Napoli isn’t like I was told and it was a very beautiful city. It was a little crowded and noisy but after all I liked it a lot in there and I got used to the life in Napoli.
We’re definitely going to achieve big with the National team
We have big goal as the Turkish National team. The European championship qualification round is at the end of this summer. We’re going to start our training camp in a few days. Our goal is to qualify for the European championship and capture 5th place in the big tournament. We have good players on our roster and we’ve been playing with each other for a long time. We know each other very well on and off the court. So this is going to help us a lot. Our new head coach Ceyhun Yildizoglu is a very good and a very valuable coach. I believe he’s going to help us to go to the next level. So far we were qualified twice for the European championship in our history and we want to make it happen for the 3rd time and rach our goals.
